Into "My" Wild

South Korea!!

I would love to travel to South Korea!! I've been (lately) obsessed with some of the Asian nations and cultures. South Korea is one of the places I would love to visit, but it was the first that came up for a place to run away. So, I would pick this country as my "Wild" because it interests me, plus I would love to learn the language. This would be a great adventure that would quench my curiosity! On the  map, it is in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, its neighbors are China to the west, Japan is to the east, and North Korea to the north. Its population is 50 million.

I would love to travel through South Korea for about 2-3 years. I wouldn't really like to run away forever right now, there's things that tie me down like my family and the fact that I'm not an adult. I believe that 2-3 years is good enough. I also hope its enough to be accustomed to the culture and language.

 The first mode of transportation to South Korea would have to be by air. I would leave from the Newark Liberty Inti Airport, then I would make a stop at an airport in San Francisco. After this I would take another plane trip to arrive at the Incheon Inti Airport. This would all take me about 21 to 22 hours. From here, I would try to find a place to sleep. I would walk about 34 miles to get Seoul City. I would mostly walk and maybe hitchhike. I believe walking is a mode of transportation that is cheaper and some of the only ways to get around South Korea. One of the only ways to get to South Korea would also be to fly, so that is why I would choose to fly first. I would probably use some buses and railroad services.
              

What I would definitely need is an umbrella, the weather in South Korea is just as crazy as in the US. I would bring some hiking equipment and some medical supplies. I would maybe bring a towel or two and a blanket or two. I would also bring some clothes since the clothing sizes in this country differs from the US. I would also bring some of my own toiletries. A good backpack would be good for when I visit and hike different places.

How I would be able to pay for the plane tickets would be a by saving up money from here. Most of what I would pack is already mine, so that's done. Traveling expenses in South Korea could be taken care of by my acquiring a job and also some saved up money (mostly a job). Food and clothing would also be bought through the money I would get from a job. I'll be doing a lot of walking, so not much money should be wasted for cabs.
  
In this trip, I plan to accomplish a goal. My goal is to learn the language and get used this foreign country. (Foreign to me) I hope to visit this incredible country and learn new things that not all people are interested in. I hope to expand my world and be more open-minded. I wish to meet new people and acquaintances (not necessarily friends). I also hope to find out what's so different from them and the US's people. I hope to be different and to do something different. Change my routine.

I will record my experiences by writing everything down. Writing things down calms me and relaxes me, if  there's a reason for me to write; this is reason enough. I would also put souvenirs or tickets and receipts somewhere near my notebook. I will record everyday and every hour of my travels. I will write about every person I met and my troubles. Also, what I miss and what I lobe about South Korea. How South Korea pleases and relaxes me. How this trip was the best decision I will have ever made.
