Valentine's Day......The Harsh Truth....

BY THE WAY, I HATE VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!
The history of Valentine's Day revolves around a saint named St. Valentine. St. Valentine was a cleric, a person of the clergy/church, that married couples in the time of the Roman Emperor Claudius II, 270 AD. He was a bishop. Claudius II did not accept marriages because he believed that marriages distracted the young men that were in the army/military of Rome. St. Valentine married them in secret. He became a martyr because he was killed for his actions. He was killed on February 14.
There are two versions of this story.
There is the version that St.Valentine was imprisoned and before he died he fell in love with his guard's daughter. He wrote a letter to her before they executed him, a signature phrase, "From your Valentine." And he died, a martyr. The other version is the Roman Catholic version of his becoming a saint. He was aided by the daughter of his guard. She helped take care of him and they became friends. He wrote a letter to her and had that same phrase. He died because he would not obey the emperor's law and he disobeyed because he was protecting his religion. He became a martyr for bravely dying for his faith. This phrase is what started the greeting card holiday and since his Saint Day is February 14th, all the more reason.

Broken heart - broken-hearts PhotoThis graph shows, according to Facebook, the number of breakups during the year. Here is my advice: You smart-alecs, the reason you are no longer in a relationship is because you are with an idiot or a greedy girlfriend. These are not the types of people you want to date. The reason the girl you are with broke up with you on Valentine's Day is because she wants expensive garbage that you can't get. Date a girl who is worth it and who isn't like that. Another piece of advice is that you need to be careful during the two weeks before Christmas. If you are committed to this other "half of you" then don't complain about going to visit parents or family. Who knows what could happen? Now if you are not, then don't go. Don't give your partner the wrong message, that will lead to BREAKUPVILLE. Good luck!
